Study On Blended Knitted Fabrics Properties And Dyeing Of The Hair Of Racoon-dog

The Racoon dog is a kind of high economic special species of animal. The color of its fur isbeautiful; its hair feels soft and lofty,which is good in fur products，people used it for keepingwarm in winter and decoration from ages．There are two kinds of hair on its skin,one is needle hairand another is fine hair. The needle hair especially on its back and tail call be made intobrush,writing brush and powder puff．And the fine hair which growing on the shin surface isexquisite soft can be compared with cashmere；the warm-keeping of it is also good enough, so wecan forecast that the fine hair of Racoon-dog will be a outstanding row material in textile.This article introduced that special species of animals such as cashmere, rabbit hair,camelhair, alpaca hair and so on were well used in textile field. Therefore we hope the hair ofRacoon-dog which is also a special animal’s hair of this kind could become a new row material intextile field too．The main researching works that have been done are as follows:(1) Atest＆analysis on the hair of Racoon-dog, including making use of the scanningelectron microscope and optical microscope to survey the surface flake,the structure of medullaand cross-section shape; tested the hygroscopic quality; using XQ-1tensile tester to test the tensileproperty and tensile recovery property, the corresponding properties of70s wool and cashmerewere also tested in order to do the contrast analysis．Using the friction coefficients and felting ballmeasuring method to test the felting property.(2) The property of blended yarns was tested. On the basis of the Physical and mechanical properties being studied,5sorts of the hair of Racoon-dog/cashmere/rayon staple/nylon short fiberblended yarns with different blending ratio are developed.(3)The hair of Racoon-dog/cashmere/rayon staple/nylon short fiber blended knitted fabricwere prepared, and the wearability of the fabric was analyzed primarily.According to differentrequirements, by choosing the appropriate blended ratio and blended fiber, we can developknitted fabrics with excellent performance.(4)Apreliminary study on the dyeing of the hair of Racoon-dog.we use the Lanasoldyes,two-step two-bath dip, respectively, discussed the influence of concentration of sodiumcarbonate, dyeing temperature and dyeing time on dyeing properties. The (K/S) value,colorfastness and the surface flake of the dyed hair of Racoon-dog were tested. Final results showedthat: suitable dyeing conditions is20g/L of the concentration of sodium carbonate,60min ofdyeing time,95℃of dyeing temperature,30min of the fixing time,85℃of fixing temperature,pH6.At the present stage, the study and application of Racoon-dog hair is still at the primary stageof research and market exploration, and the further research will be made through the study of thispaper.
