Water pollution monitoring has a long way to go. The traditional method of detecting mainland river information is collecting sample water firstly, and then carrying out library analysis to verify water quality with index evaluation with single parameter or multiple, which is precise while inefficiency. Because the quantity of observation points that can be collected and analyzed is limited, which could not meet the requirement of detecting water environment .With the development of space technology, RS data becomes to the point method on the grand with the advantage of huge information, long time and large scale. And RS becomes to a most effective tool to detect regional and even global river persistently. By satellite or aerospace remote sensing information to quantitative analyze space division and dynamic in large areas; it's good for finding out contaminant's cause and effect, and also advantage at studying and forecast for pollution trend. Besides, visualization provides a completely new method for RS quantitative analysis and revelation. This issue based on the theory and methodology of Water Quality Remote Sensing,using fourth-generation programming language IDL to carry out water quality monitoring visualization is a new exploration in water pollution monitoring.Quantitative inversion was applied for demonstration plot water in this text, taking advantage of the built RS information model, based on basic water pollution RS monitoring theory and related inversion for system research. The project is designed by remote sensing region water pollution with obtained dynamic information and real-time monitoring. Considering the demands of RS data's characteristic and image visualization, IDL was selected as a developing language for water pollution monitoring, among current optional water analysis and process software. In allusion to software's function requirement and realistic developing key-point, the text describes detailed how to deal with water pollution monitoring RS data, data's visualization analysis and application by IDL, and discussed particularly for the design idea, basic thought, and implement methods. Various kinds of basic functions of water pollution monitoring are realized finally, including data's visual display, remote sensing data's prophase processing, image processing and remote sensing data's disposing and analysis, the water pollution monitoring application of data processing and visual analysis based on IDL is tried. By the means of developing living example, system user interaction, visual affect, terrace portability and expansibility are attempted, with IDL development platform software design technology. Finally the system"water pollution monitoring visual system based on IDL is finished and verified its application value, what's more, it's great use of reference for intensive study of water monitoring visual technology.IDL can completely meet the requirement of processing data of water pollution detection, which has great advantage at data visual application and image processing, and meet developing visual system demands. It can finish related processable task perfectly with satisfying speed, for no matter remote sensing analysis calculation or mass data processing during datas. The water pollution detection visual system in this text provide a quite good solution for realizing remote sensing image processing, analysis data and visual frequently.
