The safety of the drinking water, one of the most important water resources, is closely related to the profitsof human beings.Great Achievements have been got in developing quality and quantity of drinking water as wellas resource management,However,there are still many shortages in this area.Recently, the drinking waterpollutant issues have resulted in great damages on national economy, influenced human life and production, andthreatened the safety of people’s drinking water. Obviously, the safety of drinking water is one of the essentialelements to make sure the stability of city and society. Hence, it is of significance to pay attention to protectingthe resource of drinking water. This dissertation mainly focuses on the water environment research of “motherwater resource” of Xi’an-Jinpen reservoir of Hei river, with corresponding protection measures provided.The Chapter1presents the backgrounds and meanings of this study, the current researching status,and gives the main investigation methods and contents of this dissertation.The Chapter2shows the study on the physical geography, social economy, districts of water resourceprotection and the development status of Jinpen reservoir of Hei river, and gives this river’s main pollutantsources. Results show there are four pollutant sources:1) the productive wastewater fromHanjiang-to-Weihe river water transferring project and domestic sewage;2) the potential pollutants ofmassive rural tourism service facilities, directly discharge of countryside sewage and abandon of rubbish;3)the ducks’ excrement and urine of Wang-jia-he;4) the sewages and rubbish of board houses and Ma’anQiao golden mine.The Chapter3gives the quality estimation of Jinpen reservoir of Hei river from water quality andwater pollution etc. The evaluation results of upper watershed of Hei river show that the water qualitymeets the II standard surface water except Shui-yuan-shan-zhuang with overstandard of TN and CODCr,which falls into III standard surface water due to tourism services. The assess of water pollution of upperwatershed of Hei river reveals that there is mild concentration except water quality board when it considersthe index of TN. Eutrophication evaluation shows that Jinpen reservoir of Hei river belongs to mild level,which is relative low.Based on above analysis, the Chapter4describes the policies and measures of water qualityprotection, including isolation defense, rural areas’ pollution governing, domestic sewage prevention,pollution of animal cultivation controlling, rubbish administration and Hanjiang-to-Weihe river watertransferring project, etc.
