With the development of human society, how to aggregate and process the given data effectively is a very important issue in many fields, such as economics, management, the military, safety evaluation, etc.. So it is very important to research the multiple attribute decision-making (MADM) and its application. People have attached importance to the research on the MADM problem and have obtained plentiful production in recent three decades. The Ordered Weighted Aggregation (OWA) operator is the most common operator to aggregate the arguments. Later, some new families of OWA operators appeared, e.g., Ordered Weighted Geometric Averaging (OWGA) and Linguistic Ordered Weighted Geometric Averaging (LOWGA) operators. However, both the method and the application of the MADM are still juvenile and there are much research to do in order to perfect the MADM. The MADM. problems based on the induced OWA operator are researched in this paper. When the weight of attributes are unknown, decision-making information that is the exact numerical values and the linguistic values are researched respectively. Especially the decision-making method based on the induced OWA operator and its application in coal mine safety evaluation are researched, and the author's new opinions are given. In this paper, the author proposes some new aggregation operators and the decision-making method based on the new aggregation operators to solve coal mine safety evaluation, and the author's main production is contained as following:(1) The author proposes an Induced Ordered Weighted Geometric Averaging (IOWGA) operator and an Induced Linguistic Ordered Weighted Geometric Averaging (ILOWGA) operator inspired by OWA operator, Where not only the importance of the ordered position of the argument but also the given argument itself are considered.(2) Some desirable properties of the operators are studied and two decision-making methods are proposed. One decision-making method based on the IOWGA operator to aggregate the decision-making information with the exact numerical values, the other decision-making method based on the ILOWGA operator to aggregate the decision-making information with the linguistic values. Both the theoretical analysis and the numerical results show that the operators can better reflect the real situations in practical applications.(3) This paper establishes a coal mine safety evaluation indicator system and developes a decision-making method based on the ILOWGA operator and Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) for coal mine safety evaluation, which is straightforward and has no loss of information. And gives an example to verify the developed approach and to demonstrate its feasibility and practicality in coal mine safety evaluation. In the end, the author summarizes the research process and points out some limitations of this paper.
