Urban Expansion In The Preliminary Study Of The Information Spectrum

With urbanization in our country getting into the historic stage of rapid development, urban sprawl, especially the change process of the LUCC, space feather and the social economy mechanism in the urban fringe, is becoming the hot spot of the research field of urban geography and land-use etc. and it is also the key point concerned by the urban and district planning department.Starting with the concept of geo-information tupu which put forward by the scholarship in our country, this paper brings forward and primarily discusses the concept of the urban sprawl information tupu in theory. Urban sprawl information tupu is a expression form reflecting land-use tempo-spatial change rule in the urban fringe, which including land-use map, land distribution statistic list & graph, and land-use thematic map etc. Urban sprawl information tupu regard administrative district as its statistic unit, which is convenient to using by the urban and district planning department. Further reference to the method of LUCC, this paper put forward the realization pattern of the urban sprawl information tupu.In the rest, the paper take minhang district as an example, which is one of the fastest urbanization districts in Shanghai urban fringe. Through TM image with five aspects from 1990 to 2006, the paper attempts using the urban sprawl information tupu to express the land-use tempo-spatial change feature of the area in recent 15 years, in which the feasibility of the urban sprawl information tupu testified.
