| In practical application, spatial information has characteristic of various type, complicated relation, non-structurization, numerous data amount, multi-scales, many kinds of spatial reference system and projection types, varying with time etc; and different departments have different professional information. The production and maintenance of the spatial data distribute in different department. Due to the different data format, it brings the great difficulty to user, and it is disadvantageous to the sharing of spatial information. Different application need different spatial support of information and that have corresponding requirements for spatial reference system and projection type. But presently, GIS data mostly come from the digitization of map. Maps obtain plane coordinate with a certain spatial based measures, it is very difficult to meet the needs of basic change.According to organized the fundamental geographical information by geo-grid, the purpose that implement seamless link of spatial information and set up a mechanism and corresponding technology, which according to demand offer fundamental geographical information of multi-scale. Setting up geo-grid is a basis to seamless link of implementation spatial information. By geo-coding technology identify geo-grid and position.
