| There are many factors such as climate, hydrography, geology, biology, metagalaxy, and mankind activity which decide the distribution of groundwater together. So many factors which change themselves make the research of dynamic changes of groundwater more difficulty. The traditional ways and means of research of groundwater are the process of surveying and measuring , data- collecting and analyzing and making mathematic model, which could satisfy the demand in some degree . But they do not always. The birth and development of GIS and RS and their application to the research of groundwater would make good difference.With the coming of information technology ages, a special industrial that mainly manages the spatial data, namely GIS, has developed rapidly. As a promising industrial in 21st ,GIS, together with another technology -RS (Remote sensing), would play an important role in many fields, including the programming of cities, the surveying of national land resources, using of land, the adjustion of agriculture construct and national defense. Those technologies have made rapid progress , though they are birth lately.The main task of this paper is to explore a new ways and means of reconnaissance of groundwater. And the instance is the South of NingXia Province, China. We make a deeper hydrography research on the exploring area by the technology of GIS and RS. The purpose of this paper is to provide a new way to search groundwater for those areas which are water scarcity. And the data are mainly from physical -exploration and RS image. By this means, we can assume some target-areas which are abundant in groundwater. The author design a system that has the function of GIS and a database which can afford a function of integration ,querying selection ,Index, and analyzing, which could offer DSS(Dicision-Surpport-Server)for the administrator. |
