This thesis introduces the history on emergence and development of cadastre, analyzes the present domestic situation on informatization of land resources as well as cadastral management institution (urban–rural duality). Proposed is an integrated urban and rural cadastral management information system based on"A Map"thought in accordance with practical problems and requirements in the system. It also studies the key technologies related to establishing a cadastral management information system based on the thought such as methods and the comprehensive evaluation model of quality check on cadastral data, the integrated organization and seamless connected of urban and rural cadastral data, the relationship among different components of cadastral data in complex tusks, the structure design of a database table, and so on. Under the support of secondary development functions of SuperMap the case study has been completed by taking cadastral information management of Qinzhou Land Resources Bureau as an example and by means of a systematic architecture combining C/S with B/S. Its main contents and results are as follows:(1) The limitations of the presently available cadastral information systems is analyzed through comparison. The significance of integrated urban and rural cadastral management information system is also expounded based on"A Map"thought.(2) Quality problems of cadastral data are discussed, to counter which mathematical methods and an assessment model of checking data quality are discussed.(3) The solution of seamless organization and connection of cadastral data is presented in order to meet the requirements for the urban-rural integration.(4) Combined with"A Map"thought and urban-rural integration, research objects involved in cadastral management systems have been analyzed. The corresponding database design are also finished according to the characteristics of various objects.(5) Some crucial functions in the cadastral information system of Qinzhou Land Resources Bureau are implemented based on the secondary development functions of SuperMap.
