Survey And Analysis Of Sea Reclamations In Guangdong Province Based On 3s Technology

Sea reclamation is an important way for additional living and production space from the sea. While it relaxes the contradictions between humans and spaces, it imposes negative effect on sea environment. Sea reclamations happen in most of the countries with scarce land resources, as well as in China who has a long history of sea reclamation. Guangdong province is a developed region in coastal areas. It has a long sea reclamation history and is a hot spot in sea reclamation.Supported by the "China's offshore marine comprehensive survey and evaluation" (Project 908) "Satellite Remote Sensing Investigation and Research of Islands and Coastal zones in Guangdong Section", based on 3S technology, survey and analysis of sea reclamations in Guangdong province during 18 years are performed in this thesis by the satellite images of Landsat-5 TM, Landsat-7 ETM+ and CBERS CCD. The main work and conclusion are as follows:(1) Connotation of sea reclamation was characterized. Sea reclamation classification system was set up. Sea reclamation interpretation labels of Landsat-7 ETM+ and CBERS images were established.(2) Effective sea reclamation survey technology flow was established. With data of Landsat-5 TM, Landsat-7 ETM+ and CBERS CCD, the coastline extracted from images as well as the model for analyzing coastline change was utilized to survey sea reclamations.(3) Sea reclamation conditions in 1990-2000,2000-2008 and 1990-2008 were obtained. Areas and distribution areas of various sea reclamations in every period were given.(4) Sea reclamation structure and rate were analyzed. Compared to them in 1990-2000, sea reclamation structure in 2000-2008 has changed a lot and sea reclamation rate is slower. Using the G statistic to analyze sea reclamation hot spots, the result shows HuangMao Sea and Pearl River Delta are sea reclamation hot spots in Guangdong province. Combined with economic statistical data, sea reclamation driving forces were analyzed. Coastline length and type are natural factors. Social economic development is the main driving force. The policies have an important regulation function.
