In this paper Qilian County of Qinghai Province, as the research object, uses the3s technology to implement human-computer interactive interpretation for the study area in1999,2006and2009the third phase of remote sensing images, the landscape pattern analysis method was used to research the landscape pattern and landscape dynamic change, and the main driving force factor caused by the landscape pattern changes were analyzed, we concluded that results as the following;First, rapidly changes of land use and landscape pattern in Qilian County of Qinghai Province had been taken palace during1999,2006and2009, nearly11years, which can reflect human activities and economic development dramatic impact on the changes of landscape pattern in recent years. From the proportion of each type of landscape area, the total forest area from1999to2009overall gradually reduced; The grass in the high-coverage grassland and low coverage grassland area increased year by year from1999to2009, while in the coverage area of grassland area decreased from1999to2009, which holds a majority proportion of grassland in the study area; The area of rivers, beaches and wetlands also gradually had reduced during the past11years; the area of urban construction land and rural settlements had experienced a continuous increase with small percentage incensement; the area of dry land, barren land area had been in a steady growth process in the past11years.Second, in the aspects of the main indices of landscape patch levels the degree of fragmentation of the landscape patches was increasing, while mean patch area was decreased during the11years of the study area. The various types of landscape indices increased during1999--2006, but not obvious. Due to the accelerated pace of urban construction, which results in increasing of the occupied and split the grassland landscape, the landscape spatial heterogeneity gradually increased in2009.Uniform distribution of the degree of plaque types in the landscape shows an increasing trend. From above, it can be seen that landscape pattern is affected by many factors to drive and toward the direction of the diversification and homogenization.Third, analysis of both natural and human driving force factors shows that, climate, precipitation, evaporation and natural disasters factors make the study of the landscape pattern change,. However, population growth and economic development are the fundamental drivers of landscape pattern change force.Fourth, along with the global warming and human activities, the environmental problems have been increasingly serious in the study areas such as the snow line rise, glacier retreat, forest reduce, grassland degradation and wetland atrophy etc. we should take the road of sustainable development, reinforce the protection of grasslands, forestry, water resources, wildlife and habitat, and strengthen publicity and education of the laws and regulations at the same time.
