Reaserch On The Coal Mine Shantytown Renovation In Shanxi

Shanxi is a large province of the coal mine. There are rich in coal resources and large coal mining enterprises. In the planned economy period, a large number of coal resources selflessly have been supplied to support national construction for development of the country from the majority of coal enterprises in Shanxi Province. But the quality of life of the mine workers have been neglected, in particular, the housing problem has not been resolved. Some workers still live in infrastructure lack of coal shantytowns which is primitive conditions and bad environment. the living standards of the miners has been seriously affected and the development of urbanization also had a negative impact.Preferential policies has been formulated to improve the living issues of the coal shanty-dwellers in Shanxi which has been transformed with reality. The problem of the coal miner's housing have been solved in a certain resolution through the transformation of coal shanty town; the look of the city had been initially improved; industrial structure of the mining enterprises have also made some adjustment. However, there are still many problems in the transformation process. Therefore, there are important theoretical significance and practical significance to research the transformation of shanty town in Shanxi for the promotion of sustainable development of resource-based cities.Transformation status of the Coal shantytowns and the main results has been described in Shanxi by the use of the basic principles of management, economics and other disciplines, its existing problems and causes have been summarized, and transformation of domestic and international experience have been related to the refined, some specific recommendations had been put forward.
