Hotel industry is a traditional service industry. The internal and external circumstance of Chinese hotel industry has changed greatly for more than 30 years, such as global economic integration, the spread of new technology, the continued expansion of the tourism market, the occasion of Olympics and World Expo, as well as the aggravation of the market competition, etc. they all have great influence on hotel's industrial structure and management model. Hotel industry--the traditional service industry how to transition keeping in step with the times? This is a prime importance for our managers.Based on the existing research home and abroad, this paper selects 11 factors of the macro environment to build a impacting formula and analyze the effects of macro environment to hotel management using the methods of comparative analysis and case analysis. The results show that: economic globalization promotes the integration and standardization management, national economic performance impacts demand and investment condition, market competition accelerates the integration management, government policies promote building of hotels quickly, laws conduct the management of hotel and change the behavior of managers, information technology promotes and facilitates the information management, transports bring the collectivization and diversification, facilities and equipment promote the standardization of the service and management, social condition impacts the safety management, population factor affects the operating and management model, and social values affect the culture management of hotel, etc.The structures are as follows:The first chapter is introduction. It is mainly about the overview of relevant literature, research background and significance, as well as a description of the conceptual framework of the article. The second chapter is theoretical basis. It mainly analyses the significance of researching macro environment, and finds paths it impacting enterprise management. The third-sixth chapters are detailed influence analysis of the macro environment to hotel industry, which include economic, legal, social and technological environment by using four cases to verify the theory. The seventh chapter is conclusions of the article.
