Research On Optimum Regional Distribution Of Planting Industry In Sichuan Province

Distributing planting industry areas scientifically, promoting structure adjustment and optimization of planting industry and developing modern planting industry are the main steps and tasks of speeding up modern agriculture development. Regional distribution of planting industry, based on resources endowment of the areas and its historical development, is going to discuss rational division of plants on the influence of regional differentiation laws. This paper tries to carry out research on regional distribution of plantings industry in Sichuan Province with comparative advantage theory and unbalanced growth theory.In order to draft a blueprint of regional distribution of planting industry in Sichuan province, firstly, this paper has sorted out economics theory concerning planting industry distribution. Then, this paper has selected 12 crops in the light of situation of planting industry development in Sichuan province to conduct comparative advantage analysis and the problem of regionalization of planting industry. Finally, this paper has ascertained the distribution plan of the crops in 21 districts in Sichuan province. The theories in this paper mainly involve comparative advantage theory and unbalanced growth theory, which are applicable to the problem of regional distribution of planting industry both theoretically and practically.Based on the data of scale and per unit area yield of crops, this paper has calculated comparative advantage index including scale advantage index, efficiency advantage index and comprehensive advantage index in 21 districts of Sichuan and ascertained crop types in certain areas. Aiming at guiding planting industry distribution, according as similarities of comprehensive conditions, this paper has divided the 21 districts into 4 groups after analyzing the natural condition, social and economic condition and technological condition with related data. After combining comparative advantages in different districts and regionalization of planting industry, this paper has ascertained a picture of these 12 crops including that of core districts, ordinary development districts and driving districts. The strategy for promotion of planting industry distribution in Sichuan province has also been suggested. From the path of theory to practice, on the one hand, this paper has analyzed theoretical basis of planting industry distribution and conditions for planting industry production and development theoretically. On the other hand, this paper has analyzed comparative advantages of planting industry and regionalization of planting industry practically. Apart from qualitative analysis, this paper has also applied 3 kinds of quantitative analysis methods, including comparative advantage index analysis, principal component analysis which is used for study of comprehensive condition of planting production and development and categorization analysis which is used for regionalization of planting industry.Regional distribution of planting industry is an effective way to develop modern planting industry and of significance in promoting efficiency of agriculture and increasing farmers'revenue. At present, regional distribution of planting industry in Sichuan has not been proper enough. Therefore, only with the participation of government and farmers, integration of market means with macro-guidance, meticulous planning and overall arrangement and coordination, can regional distribution of planting industry be promoted smoothly.
