In the times of. economic globalization and operational cost rising, the competition of the freight agent market grows fiercely, only these enterprises who can face the fierce competition can survive. Freight forwarding enterprise can transit to the third party logistics basing on the practice of the traditional freight forwarder business. Through providing the customers with complete and integrated logistics service, the freight forwarding enterprise can acquire the market space for self-development.This paper was first introduced the situation and existing problems encountered by freight forwarding enterprise and the third party logistics enterprise, discussed the feasibility of freight forwarding enterprises in its transition to third-party logistics enterprise. Then, according to the innovation theories of business models and core value systems, the paper was analyzed freight forwarding enterprise and the business models of the third-party logistics enterprise. Finally, the paper was proposed the transition model and general strategies and specific techniques of the transition. Freight forwarding enterprise should be used the basic principles of modern logistics, the initiative theories of business models and the development experience third-party logistics enterprise in its transition. Business models to meet the actual situation and the market demands should be brought into being. Furthermore, it also needs to integrate the internal environment, create good customer environment and establish harmonious partnership environment. And in order to achieve the transition goal, the enterprise should be used multiple strategies in the aspect of development strategies, operation strategies and market strategies.
