Based on a survey of 3087 migrant workers in 9 cities in Pearl River Delta, this thesis attempts to discuss the impact to migrant workers'permanent migration Intention by the level of their social adaptability. In this study, I distinguish social adaptability into three parts : one is economic stratum ,which can be measured by monthly income and the number of fitment; another is living stratum which can be measured by the living adaptability in cities and whether migrant worker have friends who are local people; the last one is psychological stratum ,which can be measured by regional identification and identity identification .At first, the overall situation of the social adaptability is presented. And it is found the social adaptability of migration work in Pearl River Delta is stays on a low level. The second, the studies suggest the economic stratum have no effect on the migrant workers'permanent migration Intention. The main factors affecting migrant workers'intentions are living stratum and psychological stratum. As the index of living stratum, is there a close friend of the local people will not affect the choice. If the migrant workers stay on a high level of identity identification, he is more likely to choose permanent migration Intention, but the low level of identity identification will stimulate the migrant intention to the city.
