Among major disaster rescues, the emergency air rescue has been widely applied and has played an influential role to safeguard people's life and property security. Therefore, the research on emergency air rescue is of great significance.Based on the analysis of the status quo of the emergency air rescue at home and abroad, this paper has analyzed the existed questions that the domestic emergency air rescues face. Through the analysis of the air emergency rescue system, under the assumption of good weather and communications, adequate personnel and material support, helicopters and transport aircrafts, helicopters priority, full non-stop, an emergency air rescue system simulation model is established and meanwhile the model is realized on the basis of simulation software--EXTENDSIM. The real data collected by investigation have been used to test the model; Two airports and the emergency rescue systems of two disaster relief points are simulated and optimized. Finally, the suggestions to optimize China's emergency rescue system are proposed.The research analyzes the following contents:1) The establishment of emergency air rescue system simulation model simulate the impact of the number of aircrafts, route changes, aircraft scheduling on the rescue mission in the aid process.2) Under the circumstances of unchanged routes and aircraft types, the change in the number of aircrafts can influence the delay time of the task.3) Having the same number and type of aircraft, more routes can influence the total time to complete the emergency rescue task.4) Under condition of all-open routes, the airport which has both helicopters and transport aircrafts can influence the delay time to complete the task.5) In the instance of the simulation conditions, the various factors can ensure the optimum conditions of timely completion of the rescue mission.6) Research areas and directions for China's emergency air rescue development in the future.
