This is a research of red rive area .I research the title by the historical geography theory. It include the theory of the economic area. I want to explore the change of the structure of the economic geography about this area. The most movement of this economic geography of area is a economic area called the GeJiu_KaiYuan_MengZi being form.As the development of GeJiu tin industry, the government set up the custom at MengZi. The tin was produced in GejJiu and sold through MengZi custom, transported on red river. So the new economic area was forming. As the tin went to the world market, the road of the red rive was not enough to transit the tin. because its conflict between the tin industry. The red rive is a seasonal river. Then the France government built the YunNan-Vietnam Railway. The railway is the modern vehicle, and it improved the development of tin industry. The city of KaiYuan became the part of the economic area, because the change of the railway line. So the Ge-Meng economic area became the Ge-Kai-Meng economic area.As the Railway finished, the middle of the foreign trade transit to KunMing. Then the MengZi city was eclipsing. The YunNan-Vietnam Railway is a invaded implement of France,but it also modernized Yunnan. The Ge-Kai-Meng economic area was modernized in Yunnan.KanYuan was the agriculture basis of GeJiu. KaiYuan also supplied the coal to tin industry. MengZi is the place of transit the goods of GeJiu. The three city become one part.A railway called Ge-Bi-Shi was built on the red river area. The Traffic net was built. The three city develop together.This paper write the history of the area clearly. I discussed the change of the market and the development of city. I used the records that never be readed.
