Resource Endowments, Spatial Economic Agglomeration And The Development Of The Economic Center In Yellow River Area

The economic center's growth plays an important role in the economic development of Yellow River area. Its growth is a result from many factors' combined function.Among them, there are two important factors:resource endowments and spatial economic agglomeration . This article studies from the relationship of resource endowments, spatial economic agglomeration and economic center's growth, analyzes how the resource endowments and spatial economic agglomeration affect the development of Yellow river economic centers from 1987 to 2006. This paper reaches the following conclusions:1.There is a obvious and positive correlation between the economic center's growth of the Yellow River area and the actual available resource. The correlation coefficient of economic center's development index and the resources index reaches 0.8807. The different resource conditions have different relevances with the growth of the economic centers. Among all the resource situations, the natural resource is the most important。2.There is a revelence between the Yellowe River area economic center's growth and the economical essential factors' spatial economic agglomeration. Different economical essential factors' agglomeration have different influences on the economic center's growth. And the capital agglomeration has the most important function. In order to speed up the Yellow river area's economic, the first step is to increase capital input.3.The resources endowments and the economy agglomeration interweave together forward the economic center's growth. The way of Yellow River area economy centers' growth is: Firstly, it starts in the area which has the predominant resources endowments; Secondly, ecnomical essential factors' spatial economic agglomeration plays the ecnomical agglomeration effect; Then more and more factors are attracted to the ecnomic center , the resources will be more and more abundant. Along with this process, the economic center grows up gradually .
