Thanks to the opening-up policy, the communications has grown rapidly in our country. The network capacity increasingly expands, and the meshwork technology heirarchy emerges continuously. With the development of communications, higher and newer requirement about the security, reliability and operational stability of the communication network has been asked for. The construction of communication engineering projects is a complex task with wide range involving and highly specialized. The quality of telecommunications engineering is crucial to ensure the communication network unblocked. Due to the particularity of the communication network, the quality of a communication project has great impacts on not only its own use, but also on the entire network. Therefore, the quality management of communication engineering is of particular importance. The thesis consists of four chapters. Chapter one briefly introduces the concept of quality management, development overview and characteristics of the communication project quality management. In chapter two, five major factors affect the quality management is discussed firstly, and then, the concept, key point and method for project pre-plannning, interim control and post acceptance, is discussed in sequence. In chapter three, based on the specific communication projects (FTTX), the content of quality management is presented. Chapter four first summarizes the points of FTTX projects quality management, points out the major factors affect the quality of communication project, finally gives the conclusion on project pre-plannning, interim control and post acceptance. Select appropriate technologies in advance, set the quality controlling points during the event, and carry out quality inspection and data record after the project is finished.
