In the dual pressures of environmental degradation and resource shortages, some developed countries have proposed the extended producer responsibility regulation which contributes to solving the environmental problems caused by waste products, and it emphasizes on the take-back responsibility for the End-of-life products of the producers particularly. The policy transfers the environmental responsibility which is undertaken by government in the past to producers, who have to face the dual pressure of production and environmental problems. Producers taking responsibility for implementing EOL products' reverse logistics becomes a hot issue which attracts the attention of government, scholars and enterprises. This paper mainly studies the issue on how to implement the reverse logistics of EOL products on the side of producers in the case of EPR. It also provides practice basis for manufacturer. There are four parts in this paper:First, define the subject and content by the In-depth analysis on EPR system and reverse logistics in theory and in practice. Second, raise four basic operation modes of reverse logistics, there are Manufacturer Take-back, Pooled Manufacturers Take-back, Integrated Supply Chain Take-back and Third-Party Take-back and according to comparative, analysis and summarize their applicability, advantages and limitations. Then, combining EOL product features and manufacturers' status and logistics companies' status, basing on value flow theory, network organization theory and transaction cost theory, put up with joint operation model, i.e. the model which includes the pooled manufacturers, retailers and the third party logistics together constitute the EOL product recycling reverse logistics by vertical and horizontal co-operation. Third, discuss the whole network organization structure, each node network, information network construction and the network of strategic partners particularly under the joint model. Finally, propose the safeguard mechanism of implementing EOL reverse logistics by production companies in the EPR system from the angle of producers, consumers and the government.
