The Empirical Analysis On The Agriculture Productivity In Hebei Province Xushui County

The agriculture, as the foundation of the national economic departments, has a close relationship with the whole benefits and long benefits of national economics. The development of county agriculture is the basis of national economic development. On the stage, the traditional agriculture of our country is transforming into modern agriculture, studying agricultural productivity of county could reasonable analyze the motivation and the source of the sustainable economic growth. we can see large from small, see entirety from details.This study is based on the Malmquist index approach and makes a quantitative empirical research using the agricultural input-output data from 1997 to 2008 of fourteen towns in the county to estimate the agricultural productivity of total factor each year. And the Malmquist index was decomposed to the technical progress, scale efficiency, and pure technical efficiency. Then according to the radial movement and the slack movement, We finally conclude the paper by offering policy insights and suggestion from the study which concerned with how to raised the agriculture productivity while reducing the inputs.The conclusion of the article is following:during the studied period, Technical progress is the significant source of agriculture productivity in Xushui. The average annual agriculture productivity of Yi Lianzhuang is the highest in the 14 towns. The agriculture productivity of all the towns show a steady growth trend in 2004 and 2008.Because of the fully implement of the policyfor supporting agriculture and benefiting farmers, the agricultural technology of the county was progressed synchronously. The growth rate of technical progress is bigger than 1,and the scale efficiency and pure technical efficiency keep increasing trend in fluctuations.Based on the comparison of agriculture input and output between xushui and yongnian county, the result showed that there are serious redundancy in labor input and material input. Compared with the analysis of agricultural productivity of Yongnian County demonstrated that Xushui County should study the successful experience on develop moderate scale of agriculture, and then through increased agricultural production technologies to increase agricultural productivity. Based on the research on comparative analysis of Yongnian County, and combined with the DEA validity analysis, the article proposed some suggestions on how to improve agricultural productivity. Xushui county should enhance technology in order to improve agricultural production technology. At the same tine, Xushui county should speed up the transfer of rural surplus labor force, and trained the new-type peasant. It is important that cherishing the limited land resource, and realizing the scale effect in Xushui county. Besides, effective use of investment resources and protect the ecological environment are also necessary. Finally we need change ideas actively to develop modern agriculture.
