The Analysis Of Influencing Factors Of Agricultural Total Factor Productivity In Henan Province

Since the reform and opening up,China’s economic development has achieved remarkable results.The first,second and third industries are developing more and more rapidly.Among them,the contradiction in the development of agricultural economy is gradually transformed from the shortage of total supply to the growth of high quality and high quantity demand.As the speed of agricultural economic growth,agricultural configuration is not reasonable,the production efficiency is low,factors of production cost price rigidity is serious,also associated with such problems as insufficient production quality,as a result,more and more scholars found that the way of agricultural economic development needs to change in our country,the traditional extensive agriculture production mode is not suitable for modern agricultural development,agricultural production is more and more dependent on all elements of productivity.In Henan province as a big agriculture province in our country,the development of its agriculture is about the development of national economy in our country,therefore,analysis of Henan agricultural development rule and influence factors of total factor productivity,is conducive to grasp the evolution trend of China’s total factor productivity of agriculture,is advantageous to the analysis of the power source of agricultural growth,to promote agricultural economic growth in China,the transformation of the mode of agricultural production and stable agricultural economic growth has a great reference.This paper first analyzes the background of agricultural development in our country at present stage and research significance of agricultural total factor productivity,combed the research achievements of scholars to the total factor productivity,the research results of scholars are classified and summarized,choose suitable for the research methods of this article,based on the clear of the concept of total factor productivity,according to the theory of economic growth,the use of DEA Malmquist index method to calculate each district cities in Henan province from 2001 to 2016 the agricultural total factor productivity index.Then according to each level city agricultural data total factor productivity index,the agricultural labor force input to agriculture by the authors,the degree of mechanization,effective evaluation and utilization efficiency of agriculture and the rural financial development and rural economic development level and financial support agriculture do regression,analysis the influence of various factors on the agricultural total factor productivity effect,the final conclusion according to the results of the regression.The empirical results of this paper show that total factor productivity of agriculture in Henan province showed an obvious growth trend from 2001 to 2016,with the fastest growth from 2001 to 2002 and 2010 to 2011,while the growth rate slowed down from 2003 to 2006 and 2011 to 2016.From the regional perspective,the total factor productivity of agriculture in the northern part of Henan province grows the fastest,such as Xinxiang and Hebi,followed by the central part.In contrast,the total factor productivity of the western region grows slowly.Therefore,Henan province should strengthen the support for the western region.From the decomposition results of total factor productivity,it can be seen that the technical progress index is the main power source of agricultural total factor productivity,and the technical efficiency index of various prefecture-level cities in Henan province declines.Therefore,in the process of agricultural development,Henan province should pay special attention to improving the technical efficiency index.In the regression of the influences of various factors on agricultural total factor productivity,it can be seen that :(1)rural financial development level and rural economic development level have the most significant influence on agricultural total factor productivity,followed by labor input;(2)the influence of mechanization degree and effective irrigation rate on total factor productivity of agriculture may be negative.Therefore,agricultural modernization should be reasonably strengthened.(3)the construction of agricultural infrastructure can effectively promote the improvement of agricultural total factor productivity,but the construction and use of infrastructure should be reasonable;(4)the government should pay attention to implementing the policy of benefiting agriculture,finance supporting agriculture and promoting the improvement of agricultural total factor productivity.
