Application Of Lean In Container Manufacturing Enterprises

In the benefit of rapidly developing process of international shipping and containerization, the container manufacturing industry was in a golden age during the last decade. The competition among container producer is more and more intense due to lower threshold. For keep surviving and developing in this intense competition circumstance, container producers have to lower the cost and increase the productivity. The core principle of lean management is avoiding any waste and constantly improving, the philosophy of lean management is useful for container manufactories. So we need learning the lean management principle and tools, then establish a individual mode for and apply them in a certain manufactory.Firstly, I stated the core principles and applying tools of lean management in this dissertation, and state the present situation of loading & unloading and delivering process, especially for the forklift which is the main facility in a/m process. Secondly, I applied lean management principles and tools to analyze the loading & unloading and delivering process of a container producer. Finally, use the DMAIC method to define, calculate and analyze the present process. Meanwhile, I made a method for improving and controlling the loading & unloading and delivery process.This dissertation shown that the lean management is an advance management method, and it's not adapted to a certain industry. You can bring your company benefit if you make and apply a proper model for your own company. Loading & unloading and delivering process is a key point in the inner transportation process, though it is not a big part. To improve this part, it'll bring lower cost, higher productivity, enhance the management level on site and lower the recessive stock.
