With the development of the computer and internet technology, virtual community has been widely used in our daily life, and there are large numbers of academic virtual communities have been emerged. The academic virtual community, which would promote the academic communication and knowledge innovation, will has an increasing impact on the means of experts'thinking and communication as well as the means of sharing knowledge. The knowledge sharing of virtual community becomes an important subject. This study introduces some concepts related to the academic virtual community, elaborates the generalized knowledge sharing model of academic virtual community, and then constructs the performance appraisal system of knowledge sharing. Finally, this study analyses an empirical case by using this evaluation system.The thesis is consisted of six chapters.Chapter 1 is the introduction which includes the research background, purpose and significance, literature review, and research methods and route.Chapter 2, based on the literature review, discusses the basic theories about academic virtual community, including the definition, the characters, and lists the application tools, and emphasizes on the analysis of member roles and actual value of academic virtual community.Chapter 3 based on the SECI knowledge transformation model, analyses four knowledge transformation patterns, and points out withdraws and problems of knowledge sharing in academic virtual community. In this chapter, the study sets a generalized knowledge sharing model of academic virtual community which including the basic plat, the sharing subjects, and the sharing targets, and analyses each factor which would influence the knowledge sharing in community, such as members, information technology platform, stimulated system, community culture, and management methods.Chapter 4 is the focal and innovated point of the thesis. In this part, referring to previous studies, the thesis constructs the performance appraisal system of knowledge sharing, which includes four dimensionalities which are ability, attitude, outcome, and shared environment, and fourteen subordinate indexes, and then calculates these indexes proportion by using AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process) method. The result shows that the attitude and outcome impact knowledge sharing more significant, while the environment does less impacts.Chapter 5, based on chapter 4, applies the Fuzz Comprehensive Evaluation to appraise the knowledge sharing performance of library blogosphere on Sina.com, and testifies feasibility of the appraisal systems. The evaluation result shows that the knowledge sharing performance level of library blogosphere is good, but needs further improvement.Chapter 6 is the conclusion of this thesis, which includes the gain and the existent deficiency in the course of research.
