Mongolia is a typical pasture animal husbandry country and the pasture animal husbandry remains a very important position in the operation of the national economy in Mongolia.However, the reduced grassland, degeneration of pasture and natural disaster has influenced a rapid and healthy development of the pasture animal husbandry directly due to natural elements and irrational artificial administration for a long time. Therefore, it is a major problem to be solved urgently that how to restore and protect grassland resource and solve desertification, how to keep balanced development in economy, society, environment and the population, and be enable to sustain the development of the pasture animal husbandry which is the superiority industry and Basic Industry in Mongolia. This article is analyzed and researched the development of pasture animal husbandry in Mongolia from several fields, attempted to relate the theory and the development of pasture animal husbandry in Mongolia, and find out the root of problems and make a reasonable proposal by using Ethnic economics (or National economics) and Economics of pasture animal husbandry.This article is divided into five parts. The introduction introduced the background, the research meaning and the method of research topic mainly. The first part introduced the concept of sustainable development, nomadic economy, pasture animal husbandry and sustainable development of pasture animal husbandry. The second part analyzed a historical transition of the pasture animal husbandry in Mongolia. The third part analyzed the main problem existed in the development of the pasture animal husbandry in Mongolia. The fourth part proposed the measures to enable the sustainable development of pasture animal husbandry in Mongolia.
