In the impression of the outside world,the Dong is a harmonious nation,which is with collective consciousness and courtesy.In Child-rearing, family education and social education,the Dong has completed the individuals'cultural heritage and personality shaping, shaping a gentle, happy-go-lucky personality.Based on the study on the child-rearing custom of Jupan Village in Dudong Township, Sanjiang Dong Autonomous County, Guangxi, we explore the culture values behind the concept of child-rearing practices and their impact on the shaping of personality. Besides, we concern about the change of the child-rearing custom brought by the cultural changes, the cultural values of the changes themselves, modern social life, modernization and school education on the impact of modern Dong Personality.The child-rearing custom not only includes a series of ritual performances such as breeds, birth and parenting, but also related to family education and social education.In the process of traditional ceremony performances, the individual completes the evolution of the life stages, becoming a qualified social people from a individual of cultural space.Family education embodies the effects of the harmonious social atmosphere on developing children and shaping personality.Social education is that the groups'cultural activities have an imperceptible influence on the cultural heritage and personality of the individual shape in social life.The traditional culture values, especially god worship, have a great influence on the child-rearing custom of Dong people. The customs reflect the course of shaping personality. And during the process of culture acculturation, the inheritance of culture is realized. It is with the harmonious way that the customs could shape a eligible social person with Dong's cultural characteristic.This article is divided into six parts: the introduction tells us about the aim, the meaning of this selected and predecessor's related general study situation. It introduces objects and method of study.The first chapter is about a brief survey of the village, including the natural and human environment, ethnic history, religious beliefs and ideas.The second section describes the ritual processes of child-rearing practices, including the child-begging practices before pregnancy, folklore and taboos in pregnancy, child-bearing rites, rituals of adult care and growing-up. So it shows the process of individual socialization.The third part refers to family education, including family upbringing, folk games and toys, concepts of gender, moral education and so on, which attributes to shaping individual personality.The forth chapter discusses the effect of the social education. It has an effect on culture acculturation and personality shaping. The main contents of traditional education include Dong folk songs and stories, festivals, social customs, rituals; it is also an important part of the culture acculturation. The fifth part is the conclusion. It states that how child-bearing practices shapes the individual's personality, and explains the impact of life style in modern society,modernization and school education on the personality characteristics and the traditional parenting education.
