Modern China in the era of rapid reform was "thousands of years have not seen so many shocks",great changes took place, including inherent in the social structure of china,social customs and habits,religious ideas,life styles,etc.And formation of staggered west,old and new smelled situation.In many changes,reflecting the community as a way of life changed in eye-catching folk was far-reaching,well worth in-depth analysis and research.The mass media as a public platform to reflect public opinions,once emerged, which shows the great power of human society and plays an important role. In modern China,due to its strong political oversight and the role of public opinions,the insight men pressed newspaper as propaganda tool,positively stood for national reconstruction,including the national body of the thousand years of feudal habits.Timely development of the "Ta Kung Pao" was the modern era's most influencial newspaper.Under the influence of the founder of"Ta Kung Pao" YingLianzhi,The paper actively participated in and stood for the social customs of Qing's reformation movement once it appeared.From the theoretical and practical aspects of their own had made great efforts,not only involved in the campaign,but also played a leading role in public opinions and supervision.In this paper,to the late Qing Dynasty,"Ta Kung Pao"as the focal point,combination of newspaper in the media publicity of materials,giving analysis of its critical stands on the old customs and the introduction of the new customs. Meanwhile, highlights the important social role of mass media in the changing society.Full-text is divided into the parts:The first chapter that is criticism of "Ta Kung Pao" on Chinese old bad habits,which is mainly based on "Ta Kung Pao's information published,classified and analysed.The old customs of Chinese feudal society,which lasted for two thousand years, good and bad habits mixed together,such as respect for teachers;and another revolting habits, taking women's foot-binding,opium and so men kept long braids for example. Here, I giving the main analysis of foot-binding critics and critics of the ban women from schooling and promotion of scientific media reports,and appealance on prohibition of opium and tobacco.The second chapter is the introduction of the new folk and publicity of Ta Kung Pao", which is mainly based on"Ta Kung Pao"information; analyzing its major projects,including new public recreation and parks and other reports.Chapter third is the media's role in the folklore changes.This chapter is discussed in chapter second and third cotenets,based on analysis of modern Chinese folk in the process of dramatic changes,the important impact of the media,including the definition of the mass media,the background of "Ta KungPao" as representative of modern mass media,and ways and means of promotion to modern folklore of "Ta Kung Pao"etc.
