With the growing influence of the mass media and the emergence of rural communication theory, the role of mass media on the development of rural economy is gradually concerned by people. From another perspective, the changes in the rural economic environment also affect the development of mass media, and enrich new content. This article does not vector-borne effectiveness of the elements and functions of the traditional point of view in the dissemination process selection, but studied the propagation characteristics of three common mass media, dissemination of results and dissemination of content, so as to analyze the mass media what plays in the rural spread of influence. In this paper uses the method of literature research, questionnaire and in-depth interview, through data consolidation, data analysis and interviews of comparison, try to explore the mass media in rural usage, demonstrate not only the mass media influence and promote the city economic development, but also for the rural economic development has played a positive role.This article studies the role of the mass media on the development of rural economy from two aspects: the content and the effect of mass media,. On the one hand, the spread of mass media content rich farmers share experiences, to set an example, so that farmers get rich road more smoothly; matchmaking for farmers, the timely release of economic information; for rural unique product to build a platform,widening sales channels; on the other hand, dissemination of results of the mass media for rural build a new economic environment, its effects entertainment has brought vitality to rural tourism, promote rural economic development. The article also analyzes the mass media focused on the lack of rural economic development performance, put forward the corresponding improvement measures and recommendations in order to better play the role of the mass media on the development of rural economy.
