Research On Optimizing China's Export Structure

Since reform and opening, China's foreign trade has experienced rapid development. Total foreign trade has experienced rapid growth, particularly of China's exports. Whether the absolute amount of growth in exports, or exports the share of total world exports have undergone significant improvements. China's Export Structure has been improved all the time; Exports of primary products account for a decreased proportion of total products; Industrial products play a vital role in exports; Machinery and electronic products, high-tech products have more international competitiveness. China's rapid development of foreign export trade, promotes the overall economic development, foreign trade playing an important role on economic development; It eases the pressure on domestic employment. People Engaged in the export trade in China are generally labor-intensive.Although China's foreign trade and export growth have experienced rapid growth. Export structure, there have been some degree of optimization, but there are still many problems. Export structure is truly able to reflect the country's resource endowments, while to some extent also to reflect the technological, economic and industrial development of the real level. China's export competitiveness of primary products decreased in recent years, and the primary products are mostly low-tech, low value-added; Export competitiveness of industrial products had improved, but also there is a gap compared with the developed countries, and most of these products are of high pollution, high energy consumption; The competitiveness of high-tech, mechanical and electrical products need to be further improved. With the rapid development of China's exports, China's foreign exchange reserves continued to increase, but it also brings a lot of questions:As our country in international competition of low-end, the export trade interests is getting smaller; Deteriorating terms of our export trade, may lead to "poverty of growth "; China's foreign trade frictions occur frequently, adversely affecting our export trade; Ever-increasing pressure of RMB appreciation is also a problem; Export structure of China with a number of development countries similar to affects our export development. It shows that, it is important to optimize our export mix and enhance the competitiveness of our exports.In this paper, researching China's foreign export mix with domestic and foreign trade theory; Qualitative and quantitative research in phase method were used to analyze our present situation and existed problem, mainly through trade competitiveness index, revealed comparative advantage index, to measure the competitiveness of our exports; Using principal component analysis analyzes the major factors affecting China's exports, come to the first and second principal components; Also analyzing the impact our current export structure to China's economic development, mainly pressure of RMB appreciation, trade conflicts frequently occurred, etc.; Give approaches and responses to optimize our export mix; Finally, predict the development of China's export structure and future trends.
