| China's export has undergone rapid development since reform and opening. China, who surpassed Germany for the first time, became the world export champion in 2009. Meanwhile, China's export structure has been improved all the time. Industrial products become mainstay and play a vital role in exports. Machinery,electronic and high-tech products have gained more international competitiveness. All of these promote overall economic development and comprehensive national power.Although China's export commodity structure has been improved considerably, there are also many problems compared to Germany, such as low-level structure of export commodities. These problems are becoming bottleneck of upgrading of China's industrial structure,economic growth and sound development of foreign trade. So it is imminent to adjust China's export commodity structure. At this stage, it is meaningful to learn successful experience from Germany to promote the optimization of China's export commodity structure, and improve the competitiveness of our export.Based on foreign trade theory and the present situation of domestic and foreign trade research, this paper, firstly, analyzes the export commodity structures between China and Germany with qualitative and quantitative method; Secondly, measures the competitiveness of export commodity structures between China and Germany through trade competitiveness index,revealed comparative advantage index, and so on; Thirdly, gains the main factors affecting export commodity structures of two countries and overall scores by principal component analysis; Finally, finds some problems exists in China's export commodity structure, such as the large proportion of labor-intensive product. Finally, in order to promote international competitiveness of China's export commodities,upgrade export commodity structure and transform from trade giant to trade power, this paper introduces Germany government's policy on how to promote and nurture hidden and principal part of export champion– SME and self-improvement measures of SME in international competition, then put forward the corresponding requirements to China's government and companies by taking Germany's successful experience in optimizing export commodity structure over years. |
