Research On Suqian Wood Processing Industry Chain Management

Northern Jiangsu's economic level in Jiangsu Province as well as throughout the country was relatively backward, further more industrial strength in the region was relatively weak, so making use of the existing agricultural, forestry resources is a necessary strategic choice to improve regional economic efficiency. Among them, the wood processing industry development will play a crucial role in the promoting regional development in northern Jiangsu.This article analyzes the value chain management, organizational management, information management and logistics management of Suqian wood processing industry chain, aims to provide a reference for the wood processing industry development strategic choice. There are three peculiarities in Suqian wood processing industry chain development:firstly, the raw materials production location and the target sales market, "two are both outside the region"; secondly, there is a special business model represented by "professional market+small to medium-sized enterprises (SME)"; thirdly, the development is "spontaneously formed+government-driven" called cluster growth model.The main factors affecting Suqian wood processing industry chain development are: enterprise business factor, government promotion factor, business environmental factor, resources supplying factor, as well as enterprises relationship factor. This paper analyzes the functional mechanism of various factors on Suqian wood processing industrial chain. The analysis on enterprise business factor mechanism is mainly on three aspects:corporate human resources, enterprise technology innovation and corporate management methods. The analysis of the government promotion factor mainly includes the using supportive policies to guide industry concentration; the enhancement of developing regional brands, improvement the regional industry image; speeding up the construction of professional market, reducing the transaction costs; acting as a bridge to promote the cooperation between enterprises and universities, research institutes. The analysis of business environmental factor is mainly from infrastructure, intermediary support organs, these two fronts. The analysis of resource supplying factor is mainly on two aspects:the wood raw material supplying and financial supporting. The analysis of enterprises relationships are mainly based on the vertical linkage represented by the wood enterprise supply chain and the horizontal linkage between competitive companies and cooperative companies in the same sector network.Finally, according to Suqian wood processing industry chain development status and characteristics, from the point of view on enterprise's own level, on enterprises relationship level, as well as on government level, this study finds a strategy and makes some suggestions for accelerating Suqian wood processing industry chain development. Namely, based on the existing problems, such as the low ability of industry chain to create added values, the lack of effective cooperation in organizational chain, the poor circulation of information chain, the high cost of logistics chain, our study makes an action plan including 4 parts:the value innovation using pursuit of added value as the target, the organizational relationship using strategic alliance as the model, the information construction using network platform as the vector, the logistics management using reducing costs as the purpose. Besides, in this study, it also establishes some guarantee measures, such as making relevant industrial policies, promoting industrial economy scale and constructing industry service system.
