Research On The Dynamic Mechanism,Development Pattern And Spatial Distribution Of The Producer Services Industries In Eastern Area Of China

Since the 1960s, services industries in the world economy have gradually risen in status, developed countries in western world have completed the conversion from industrial economy to the service economy. Consquently.With rise of the service economy, services industries have gained a dominant position throughout the overall economic activities. In this, producer services industries have gradually become an important engine for regional economic development, and compartively part of the fastest growing industries in world and the most affected industry for regional economy. In recent years, specifically, with the economic globalization process, international transfer of industries and China's efforts in industrial restructuring and upgrading, producer services industries developed rapidly in Eastern area of China, particularly in the Pearl River Delta Area, the Yangtze River Delta Area and the Bohai Economic Zone with emerged clusters. This has obviously promoted Eastern area of China's economic growth. Producer services industries in the overall economic system have become more and more important. In the constrained economic crisis and resources and environmental conditions, industry-oriented development could not sustain in Eastern area of China, producer services industries became the important breach of the industrial transformation and economic development in Eastern area of China, so the research of the dynamic mechanism, pattern and layout of producer services industries in Eastern area of China is of particular importance.This thesis using economic geographical theories as guidance, involving normative and empirical studies, horizontal and vertical comparisons, qualitative and quantitative analysis with statistical data and SPSS methodology.and around the main line of "status, trend", "the dynamic mechanism and mode" and "rational distribution", discusses the dynamic mechanism, development pattern and spatial distribution of producer-services industries in Eastern area of China, in order to promote rapid development and optimization of the spatial distribution of producer services industries in this region.It contains four main parts.The first part consists of Chapters 1 and 2, and Chapter 1 is the overview of producer services industries, the development trend of global producer services industries and the relationship between producer services industries and regional economic development. Chapter 2 is for the related research and theories of producer services industries. This section focuses on the domestic and foreign sorts of concept, content, related research and theories of producer services industries. This thesis analyzes the latest trend of the development of global producer services industries and its boosting role of regional economic development. It is a good reference for regional economic development in China.The second part is Chapter 3, which discusses the status and trend of the producer services industries in Eastern area of China. It defines the scope of the eastern region and analyzes the eastern region's economic status in the country. It also builds the model of producer services industries and GDP by SPSS to analyze the relationship between producer services industries and regional economic development and analyzes the trend of the development of producer services industries in Eastern area of China from the perspective of industrial scale, growth rate, internal structure, employability and economic contribution. It argues that in terms of the status and trend of the development of producer services industries in Eastern area of China, particularly in the manufacturing centers of the Pearl River Delta Area, the Yangtze River Delta Area and the Bohai Economic Zone, the promotion of productive services for regional economic development have become increasingly significant and producer services industries develops fast whose scale is growing with new and specialized producer service center. With the industrial upgrading and expansion of industrial chain, producer services industries become developing in dislocation lines.The third part consists of Chapter 4 and 5, which is the main part of this thesis. In which, Chapter 4 outlines the dynamic mechanism and research models of producer-services development in Eastern area of China and analyzes the dynamic mechanism and effect factors of producer-services development in eastern China. It also finds the differences and similarities of producer-services between the eastern regions, discusses the development model of producer-services in eastern China and this discussion focuses on spatial concentration-spatial diffusion and value chain of producer-services industries in Eastern area of China. This thesis considers that since the producer-services relies on the manufacturing cluster in Eastern area of China, under the influence of external and internal mechanisms, the producer services industries formed the model of gathering-diffusion in spatial view and the part of global and domestic production network system which relies on the urban hierarchy, which promoted the worldwide distribution of resources and the integration of services division in the whole productive system. Chapter 5 explains the rational spatial distribution of producer services industries in Eastern area of China, analyzes the overall layout of producer services industries in Eastern area of China by SPSS, and discusses the location problem of producer services industries in Eastern area of China. The fourth part, including Chapters 6 and 7, studies the location problem of producer services industries in Eastern area of China deeply, particularly the three major economic zones, tries to build the model of producer-services industries spatial distribution of the three major economic zones and give some recommendations and countermeasures. It considers that the rational layout of producer services industries in Eastern area of China must rely on the function of China's eastern cities. Cities bring into play comparative advantages, dislocation interaction and refined division of labor, form the hierarchical network spatial distribution of producer services industries and the producer-services network, which makes urban hierarchy as the carrier. Chapter 7 is summary, explaining the findings and lack of this thesis.The innovation of this thesis lies on:firstly, it focuses on the discussion of spatial concentration-spatial diffusion and value chain of producer-services in Eastern area of China, and then puts forward the model of producer services industries in eastern China with the urban hierarchy embedded. This analysis is forward-looking.secondly, it builds the models of producer services industries & GDP and employment & GDP by SPSS to analyze the relationship between producer services industries and regional economic development in Eastern area of China comprehensively and objectively from the perspective of industrial scale, growth rate, internal structure, employability and economic contribution.lastly, it analyzes the overall spatial distribution of producer services industries in Eastern area of China by SPSS, and discusses the location problem of producer services industries in Eastern area of China. Then it also studies the location problem of producer services industries in Eastern area of China deeply, particularly the three major economic zones, tries to build the model of producer-services spatial distribution of the three major economic zones and gives some recommendations and countermeasures. It analyzes the model of the spatial distribution of producer services industries in Eastern area of China and provides a new idea of the spatial distribution of producer services industries studies in Eastern area of China.
