The Constructive Mechanism Of Producer Services And Manufacturing And The Enlightenment Of Industrial Agglomeration In The Western Region

Since the reform and opening up,China's economy has experienced more than thirty years average annual growth rate of more than 10%,the brilliant achievements of the world's attention.At the same time,however,the problem of unbalanced regional economic development has emerged,for example,the eastern and western regions of the industrial gap continues to widen.To narrow the gap between the eastern and Western Industrial Development,since the beginning of 2000,the government has carried out the strategy of developing the western region and the industrial transfer,which greatly improved the infrastructure and investment environment in the western region.However,it has not been able to establish a competitive industry in the western region.There are many reasons,two of which are more important:One reason is relatively poor of the natural conditions in the western region,landlocked,mountainous traffic inconvenience,little rain,with much land and few people with relatively low per capita disposable income,,the local market effect is difficult to play;The other is the poor industrial base in the western region,only rely on abundant natural resources,mining and primary processing industry has a certain degree of agglomeration,industrial chain extension is not enough,the industry added value is low.Due to the lack of appropriate supporting infrastructure,so that the transfer from the east to the west of the industry is difficult to root.This article attempts from the Constructive Mechanism of producer service and manufacturing,in theory,based on the D--S model and the perspective of the new economic geography have deduced the constructive mechanism of producer service and manufacturing,the mechanism of the mutual promotion between the two is deduced theoretically,and through the Granger causality test found the existence of the constructive relationship between the two.Several main conclusions are obtained by the agglomeration degree and least square regression analysis:Firstly,The core and periphery model of eastern and western industrial development is verified;Secondly,since 2002,the agglomeration degree of labor-intensive manufacturing industry reached the highest,then decreased year by year,while the west is rising year by year,indicating that the West has slowed down the labor export to the east;Thirdly,the producer service industry significantly promotes the agglomeration degree of manufacturing industry;and the fourth is that skilled labor and government play an important role in manufacturing agglomeration;Finally,there are some structural problems in the manufacturing industry and high-end producer service industry in Western region,On the one hand,the growth of high-end producer services in the western region lags behind,which can not form a strong role in promoting the manufacturing agglomeration,on the other hand,in the western region,the demand for high-end producer services frommanufacturing is not enough,and it is difficult to promote the rapid development of high-end producer services.The last part of the paper gives the enlightenment to the development of industry in Western china.
