Research On The Construction And Development Of Chongming's Eco-modern Agriculture

Samuel, who was the laureate of Nobel Prize in Economics once said that the key to determine the success of economic development in the long term can only be the agricultural sector. Although the contribution of agriculture to national economy continues to decline, but agriculture,as a'mother industry',will still be the basis of national economy, social stability and national self-reliance in a very long time. China is a large agricultural country, with the further development of our socio-economics, the traditional extensive agricultural model has been very difficult to meet the present needs. Social and economic development, pressures on population and environment have put forward a higher demand on agriculture in the provision of the green barrier, regulating multiple functions such as urban and rural ecological balance. Thus, in our country, the emphasis on ecological functions of modern agriculture, adjusting the agricultural structure, optimizing the allocation of resources, developing "high-yield, high-quality, efficient, safe, ecology" modern agriculture in a limited space have been a top priority for agricultural development.Taking Chongming Island as a typical case, based on many years'statistical data and development status, oriented by overall goal of the construction of Chongming Ecological Island, using the method of the combination of the theoretical analysis and authentic proof research on the base of analyzing statistical data and developing materials, this paper discussed the ecological situation of modern agricultural development mainly around the three core issues of industrial developmental model, industrial restructuring and industrial space layout. Based on the analysis of the background, present situation and existing practical problems of Chongming's agricultural development, the paper defined that the functional orientation of Chongming's agriculture was eco-modern agriculture and should make any effort to develop high-efficient ecological agriculture. And then in the emphasis of ecological functions and modern functions of agriculture, it put forward some suitable development modes. According to the developmental orientation of eco-modern agriculture, agricultural industry was divided into three types of the industries of supportability, superiority and service. Meanwhile, combined with the general rules of structural evolution, it restructured these three major industries and raised developmental proposal to the specific industries. And then it conceived a network layout in the form of multi-partition, multi-organize groups, multi-band and multi-point to build the spatial distribution of agriculture. In the last of the paper, it proposed certain suggestions to the key issues in the progress of Chongming's eco-modern agriculture.
