The Study Of Web-based Schedule Management System For General Construction Contractor

With the continuous improvement of construction project contracting market, it will become more market-oriented, rationalized and competitive. Because of the growing scale construction projects and more complex structure, the traditional construction schedule management mode can't meet the market development needs. This situation leads to profit margins of General Construction Contractor lower and lower. In order to their continuous improvement, constructor enterprise can only use informatization in their business mode.This paper aims to design a web-based schedule management information system for general construction contractor. The basic idea of this system is achieving the purpose that implementation of the construction project (project group)'s progress remote monitoring and visualization management basing on B/S structure and C/S structure's combining system design model. The system conducts systematic analysis and design from the enterprise construction schedule management and construction schedule management. Besides the basic function of other general system of the construction progress, such as data collection, input, processing, interaction, form transmission, form output, printing, the most important is that it embodies general construction contractor enterprise do systematic control for project (project group)'s whole progress and achieve overall optimization. The project (project group) is the center in this system. Each department of project construction contractor enterprise and the Department of the project manager work together for construction schedule collaborative management. Between every project (project group)'s participants (builder, supervisor and designer) also do collaborative management. The goal of them is to provide decision support for realizing the construction progress target.The system includes six functional blocks, including construction schedule management, portfolio schedule management, enterprise project management, system safety management, construction schedule document management and schedule database management. It uses project work breakdown structure, objective breakdown structure and the organization/function matrix analysis tools and methods to realize control and management for the section project, unit project, single project, project and Subcontract. At last, to realize the form filling, transferring and filing on line by using the authentication identification system and signature management system.
