Physical Characteristics Leisure Resort In Guilin Investigation And Development

Into the twenty-first century, with the rapid development of technology, economy and culture, people's lifestyle has undergone enormous changes: income and consumption levels continue to increase, social competition has intensified which spurs the search for ways to kill the pressures of life. Individual and the community have formed the consensus of people-oriented, valuing life and improving the quality of life . Under this background, the world tourism developes very fast. The traditional tourt-tourism is still hot, and the vacation travel for the purpose of leisure, relaxation, sports, entertainment has risen to become a tourism development. As the world's tourist city, Guilin, with its unique natural resources and tourism projects have attracted a third of the tourists in the world. In recent years, the construction of the featured traveling villages have motivated the leisure tourism of Guilin to a new level.This thesis uses the methods of literature, questionnaire, field trips and mathematical statistics to make a deep research into the status of Guilin leisure resort, the influencing factors of sports leisure resort features, and then make a SWOT analysis on the physical characteristics of recreational resorts in Guilin. And the research shows that: (1) the main types of leisure resorts in Guilin are: river lake, hot spring, farm-based music, leisure and entertainment, etc.; and these resorts are mainly distributedin Guilin, Yangshuo County, Ziyuan County, Xing'an County, Longsheng County, Lingchuan County, Lingui County and Pingle County. The number of tourists are very stable and the resort environment, facilities, projects are all good, but the quality of management and employees are not so good; (2) the sports programmes and facilities have taken shape, but there is the lack of the guidance of professional sports instructors, and the physical characteristics of the project management and operation have not been formed; (3) the main factors affecting the development of Guilin Leisure Resort are as follows: social factors, environment factors, leisure time factors, traffic and other factors; (4) through the analysis of SWOT, this thesis shows that the advantages of the physical characteristics of Guilin resorts are the relevant policy support, unique tourism resources, the advantages of the region, the ethnic minority sports programmes and the original basis for various types of leisure resort and the relatively stable tourist market. In the opposite, the disadvanges of the Guilin resorts are :the concept is too old, the level of economic development is not high, the management level is lower, and there is lack of professional sports instructors and the media utility. The chances are: the people-oriented policies and regulations guard the physical characteristics of the leisure resorts; the booming of tourism creates a favorable external environment for the physical characteristics; and the completion of Guilin Tourism System provides a broad platform for the leisure resort sport features; the regional cooperation broadens the space of physical characteristics development of Guilin; and people's concept of health and leisure assures the tourist source. The challenges are: The severe competition of domestic tourism, the instability of natural factors, domestic and international political factors, people factors in economic development, and other factors.(5) The main strategies to develop the Sports leisure resorts are: defining the physical characteristics of Guilin leisure resorts, holding working meetings to promote the physical characteristics of the leisure resorts, introducing relevant legislation and policies, increasing investment in physical facilities, diversifying the funding sources, improving the management level and the quality of tourism employees, enhancing the awareness of sports research and developing the physical characteristics of leisure resort.
