Chinese Forestry Industry Strategy Of Direct Investment In Africa

This paper studies investment in Africa of Chinese forestry industry, using SWOT analysis model to study investment in Africa of Chinese forestry industry. Through comparing the advantages, disadvantages, opportunities and threats of Chinese forestry industry's investments in Africa, the paper analyses the competitive advantage of the Chinese forestry industry in Africa. In addition, based on the data of Chinese forestry industry's investment in Africa, the paper uses a case study approach. Through the analysis of Chinese forestry industry's investment in Gabon, the Chinese forestry enterprises can find their own advantages and better see their own shortcomings and needs to be improved, give better learn to the Chinese forestry industry's investment in Africa. Finally, based on this paper's analysis, we can conclude that Chinese forestry industry's investment in Africa is the right choice for the development of Chinese forestry industry and the investment provides continuous power and wealth of timber resources, while making up a huge gap for domestic wood case, it can help African local country economic development and help enhancing China-Africa traditional friendship.
