Constraints Of Economic Cooperation In East Asia

In the world trend of rapid development of free trade area, many countries are competing to develop their free trade. As the world and East Asia's major economies, China and Japan has never attempted to establish the China-Japanese FTA, it doesn't match with the region's economic development and the rapid development of China-Japanese economic and trade relations. So, it is important for the development of Chinese economy and foreign trade by studying China-Japanese FTA. This article content is the development of Sino-Japanese FTA to analyze the constraints, and it is also the purpose of the article. According to analysis the varies factors which restrict the development of China-Japanese FTA, the author give a conclusion, if China and Japan work together, they can conquer the hardships,at the end the author gives some suggestions at last, hoping they are useful for development of China-Japanese FTA, open the situation.The article has four parts. First, the background of the title, the search situation both at home and abroad, the search content,methods and creations have been introduced. Second, after the meaning of the FTA and the economic effects are introduced, the economic cooperation in East Asia a brief description of the history and status, the current situation of China and Japan on the development of their respective FTA has been described,and analysis the advantage and disadvantage from politics and economic, and then a conclusion that China and Japan need to develop FTA. Third, the author analysis the constraint factors for developing China and Japanese FTA, it is the main content of the article. There are six aspects for analyzing constraints factors:the FTA polity of China and Japan; the economic such as the trade structure,trade conflict and Japanese trade protectionism represented in agricultural protectionism; the politics problems like lack trust on the other,the fight for east Asian leadership between China and Japan and Taiwan problem; the history problems as history textbooks,Yasukuni Shrine problem and chemical weapons which left by Japan; the ocean rights and interests problems like the fight for oil and gas resources in east China sea, Diaoyu islands issue and Okinotorishima reef issue; the security issue such as Japan-US Security Treaty and DPRK nuclear issue. At the end, the author propose four suggestions:developing China and Japanese FTA in East Asian economic cooperation system; both China Japan need to set new harmonious cooperation concept; expending exchanges on The second track; trying to set up sub-regional FTA and industries FTA.
