| ABSTRACT:Inventory is an essential part in the supply chain, on the one hand it could allow the enterprises in supply chain to respond to the market changes better, so as to achieve better economic results, on the other hand, inventory occupies capitals and increases the costs of enterprise operation. So stock itself is a contradictory combination, in order to allow stocks to meet market demand better, Inventory Management concept came into being. Inventory Management makes logistics balanced and smooth, both to ensure normal production and supply, but also to compress stock funds reasonably to get better economic results.Applying the related knowledge of Inventory Management in the overall situation of supply chain, making the Inventory Management concept applied to the Fast Moving Consumer Goods industry, selecting traditional inventory management model and JMI as the study objects, comparing the rationality of the two management models, therefore, this article is from the management point of view, applying System Dynamics knowledge to the Inventory Management system.Studying Inventory Management, due to the characteristics of inventory system itself, it is pointed to apply System Dynamics to solve the related problems, and could deal with the characteristics of non-linear, circular feedback, etc of inventory system itself better. Applying Vensim software of System Dynamics to build the inventory management related models in the Fast Moving Consumer Goods industry of supply chain environment. Finally, integrating the related real data and having simulation calculation in the models basis, comparing the advantage/disadvantage of traditional inventory management model and JMI, for the analysis and application of related personnels.This article is aiming to apply the knowledge of System Dynamics to the Inventory Management of Fast Moving Consumer Goods, proposing a kind of idea for Inventory Management research and providing reference for the research of related areas in future. |
