The Research On Performance Evaluation Of Port Logistics

The rapid development of economic globalization and logistics technology has provided port logistics with huge international market and advanced technology. But it also has made port logistics confront with more intense competition and more complicated challenge. So it's very important for port logistics to adopt the new stage by implementing performance evaluation. The main research purpose of this paper is to design indicator system and evaluating model of port logistics in order to build theory basis for improving performance of port logistics. According to research requirement, I have used comparison analysis,comprehensive application of qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis and so on to research how to effectively evaluate port logistics performance.Firstly, it discusses the current situation of relative theories of performance evaluation of port logistics at home and abroad in this paper,especially of choosing evaluation indicators and building evaluation model,which is used as a source of reference.Secondly, it analyzes the development process of port logistics, basic function,additional function and characteristics of port logistics in the new developing stage. Then it discusses the concept,function,process and evaluation methods of performance evaluation of port logistics.Thirdly, it designes the indicator system of performance evaluation of port logistics from the view of finance,logistics operations,customer service,staff quality and so on. What's more, it builds class weighted principal components analysis model and hierarchical clustering analysis to analyze performance of port logistics.At last, the empirical analysis shows the performance level of the domestic port logistics enterprises and demonstrates the scientificalness of indicator system and evaluation model that is built by this paper. And according to evaluation results,the paper proposes several countermeasures.
