In recent years, financial institutions and products increases diversified. Under the new circumstances, due to homogeneous banking of money and credit, in order to achieve dominance in the competition, commercial banks have been continuously enriched its own products and improved existing service. However, the difference between the products and services, in the final analysis, comes from the respective business processes. Therefore, business processes become one of the main factors of establishment of a bank with competitive advantage. The problem regard to business process reengineering the bank has become the core of sector, research, and hot spots practice either. Correct implementation of the Bank's business process reengineering will increase in operational efficiency remarkable, and do help banks to improve bank management flexibility. Business Process Reengineering is a major joint of commercial bank to create"Functional Bank", while process reengineering of the counter business become one of the most important foundation and core.During the study of the course in this paper, the observation theory, research methods, system analysis method and qualitative analysis methods are all applied, upon mass reading and analyzing a large number of literatures, based on research, the author deduced a systematic study of counter business process reengineering work of SP bank.This paper first proposed the research background and practical significance, on this basis, the research identified the main content and methods, and outlines the entire article framework; expounded the generation of the BPR theory, related concepts, and introduced an overview of the current domestic commercial banking business process reengineering, and the counter business process reengineering situation also described. Next, after an overview of the SP bank introduction, clear the counter BPR objectives step by step into a "factory, intensive" great background, attention to sales and service of "small front" construction, incremental changes counter function around network node. Specified with four business processes case, such as the city exchange, transfer, etc, and explored the original business process problems and drawbacks. Based on existing problem, author proposed new re-design process. In the new program design, deployed the customer-related business processes on the-counter treatment as much as possible, meanwhile, processed unrelated business to the customer in the background, either of these businesses and business resources are centralized for management, and risks arising from centralized mode are also controllable. At the same time, through business process reengineering compared before and after, brought out the key to the significance of process reengineering. Counter business processes through re-engineering do help to improve efficiency, enhance service levels, effectively guard against business risks, and comprehensively improve banking back-ground business computer automation level, greatly reduce the intensity of the work of front counter as possible, also avoid the various types of errors caused by human factors, further improve the quality of accounting. Finally, the architecture is also given on the implementation of business process reengineering of applications. And the practice and effect of SP Banks and counter-based business process reengineering are given to the evaluation.In general, commercial banks, through the counter business process reengineering, we can achieve truly vertical management, separate front to the background, integrate similar businesses and change the sequent flow mode for the parallel mode, improve efficiency greatly, while could also provide customers with more comprehensive marketing services. On the other hand through the process reengineering, making the whole company have a unified front-standardized service, but also better able to control operational risk front, to reduce unnecessary losses and negative impacts, reduce the cost of enterprise management. Through counter business process reengineering, commercial banks could increase their core competitiveness, prepare to lay a solid foundation for a customer-centric transformation of a new generation of branches, accelerate the best business model transition referring to the international commercial banks.All in all, this article seeks through the BPR theory in the field of process re-engineering applications in commercial banks, to explore a really suitable for commercial banks and operable road for process reengineering, and gradually standardize the process of functional bank. Study may be also have many imperfections, and hoped that the experts, scholars and readers of this article for correction.
