Study On River Tourism Function Construction And Products Development

With the quick development of economic society, leisure and holiday-making has become a vivid subject of tourism. And early river sightseeing tour also needs to inject new elements as the times developing and carry on function building and in-depth development of tour product in a renewed turn.As a famous tropical river in China, Wanquan River has made a name for itself since the 1960s and 1970s. But at that time, it was just a place name and hasn't risen as a tour brand, which makes up a big contrast comparing with its popularity. And the development strategy planning of river's tour function and tour product are one of the new subjects of tourism circles. Therefore, by combining social, economic and ecological development of Hainan province and its actual developing potentials of tourism, this paper probes into the development of tour function and tour product in Wanquan River, China's famous tropical river.First, this paper analyzes the current situation of study of river's tourism home and abroad. Based on the theories of river's tourism developing, it subjectively elaborates the resource requirements of Wanquan River's tourism developing. Utilizing the theories and methodologies of human geography, it profoundly analyzes the tourist destination, Wangquan River's developing function from resource to function to market and then to product. Moreover, , it makes on-the-spot investigations about customers'preference to tour products in Wanquan River by using questionnaires and then puts forward a series of problems in its developing. Finally, it offers some suggestions for optimization according to the existing reality.For function building, it puts forward a tourist function system of one region, two towns, three districts, four themes and five scenic spots. In the aspect of tourism product's development and perfection, it proposes to perfect and create products by adjusting original products and developing new ones. Thus, it suggests building a model of river's tourism developing with perfect functions, systemic products, distinctive features and prominent topics.
