The Research Of China's Regional Disparities In Economic Growth: Literature Review And Empirical Analysis

China's imbalanced economic development in different areas is one of the hot spot issues of China economic research. As the development of China's reform and openning up to the outside world, China's economy grows steadly. However, as the development of economy, especially after 90s, the regional economy disparity has been increasingly enlarged. China is the biggest among the developing countries. As the regional policy of our government changed greatly during reformation period, the regional economy disparity of China has ranked high in the world. The regional economy disparity and policy choice are essential parts of the total national economy, which will affect coordination development of economy and society in china. So it's an emergence to analyze the fact and tendency of the regional economy disparity and frame a reasonable solution.Under this backgroud, people began to give great deal of attentions to China's regional disparities. Plenty of studies appear in kinds of learned periodicals. But we find that, the results of various empirical conclusions are very different, and there are many understanding of the factors causing regional differences. In addition, different studies on the extent of regional disparity in China have not agreed. Because of the understandings of regional disparities are different, China's economic policies implemented by the evaluation of the success or failure different, and whether to make some adjustions to our economic policy are also different.Therefore, to summarize the variety of studies of the regional disparity in China in previous stage, and find the reasons for their disagreement, is very significant.After an extensive reading of Chinese and English documents, this paper compares and reviews the research on China's regional disparity literatures. Trough the theoretical basis, measurement methods, measurement models and empirical methods of the regional disparity in three aspects, comprehensively reviewed the relevant regional disparity trends, regional disparities in the size of the gap related to the source of important documents, and summarizes the previous research literature Conclusion.This paper mainly studies the empirical methods, and from existing research articles, summarizes several factors of the implications for regional economic development disparity. Combining the methods of theoretical and empirial, using Panel-data model to analysis.This essay tries to analyze from the following aspects. First, after a summary of the relative foreign and domestic theories of economic growth, regional economic disparity, and the relationship between regional investment and economic growth, it focuses on the explaination of the neoclassical growth model and the convergence effect, diffusion effects model and endogenous growth model.Second, reviews the measurements of regional disparities and relevant research results and conclusions. Again, summarizes the source measurement models of the regional disparity and discuss the factors which influence the regional disparity. Finally, use Panel-data model to do empirical test and analysis and gives conclusions and policy recommendations.
