Economic growth and income distribution are both old and new eternal propositions in economics.Sustained economic growth and reasonable income distribution are the premise of social stability in a country or region and the basis of prosperity and development. Therefore, they have received long-term and universal attentions from various countries and regions.Reform and opening up have released China's enormous development potential and stimulated the vitality of development. The development path of incremental reform has given great incentives to regional development and made China prosperous and strong.Reform and opening-up is the process of the continuous change of China's economic system and the evolution of economic development factors and modes. In the perspective of regional economics, the process of reform and opening-up is also the process of continuous changing of regional economic disparity and the synergistic evolution between economic growth and income level. At present, the world economic situation is complex, trade protectionism and unilateralism are prevalent, and global economic growth is weak. After a long period of high-speed growth,China is also facing the pressure of stable growth and structural adjustment. However,no matter how the external or internal situation changes, the relationship between regional economic growth and income distribution has always been the core issue affecting the high-quality development of China's economy in the new era. Therefore,at such an important monment, the topic of this paper is particularly important. The unbalancd regional economic growth is generally considered as one of the important reasons for regional income disparity, but what's the correlation form? What are the characteristics of change? What are the main causes of these imbalances? Regional economics, economic geography, spatial economics and industrial economics study the relationship between regional unbalanced economic growth and regional income disparities from different perspectives. The research perspectives include the impact of savings and investment on labor transfer and economic growth change, the impact of income change on consumption and economic growth, whether spatial agglomeration has a positive effect on narrowing the unbalanced regional economic growth, and whether spatial spillover effect is conducive to industrial transfer among regions and thus driving labor transfer. However, these studies are relatively scattered and lack a unified analytical framework. In this context,it is necessary to systematically analyze the theory and practice of unbalanced regional economic growth and regional income disparity in China based on new theories and methods.Different from other branches of economics, regional economics has distinct "scale" characteristics. The size of the "region" will largely affect the choice of research methods and possible conclusions. In the macro scale, this paper is based on the provincial data from 1997 to 2016,follow the principle of combining theoretical analysis and qualitative analysis, respectively, establish the basic theoretical analysis framework on the basis of new classical economics, new economic geography and the income distribution theory, and do some useful qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis on the mechanismof unbalanced regional economic growth and regional income dispatities. In the micro scale, this paper takes the Northeast China as an example, and the prefectural administrative region is the basic unit.Emphasis is laid on the spatial analysis of economic geography to explain the basic characteristics of regional disparity between economic growth and income distribution in Northeast China as a special part of the country, and to compare it with the conclusions of macro-analysis,so as to explore the synergy between unbalanced regional economic growth and regional income disparities in China. The full text is divided into seven chapters. In addition to the introduction(Chapter one)and the main conclusion(Chapter seven),the main parts of this paper demonstrates as following:(1)reviewed the previous literatures on regional economic growth and income disparities, which laid a theoretical basis for the following research;(2)using the factual data, constructed the multidimensional index system to describe the change of unbalanced regional economic growth and regional income disparity in the inverted u-shaped trend;(3)using the factual data and the index system of multidimensional established in chapter three, supplementing the perspective of urban and rural, analyzed the regional income disparities, studies have shown that China's income distribution gap between regions is presented inverted U type change trend;(4)based on Spatial Lag Model(SAR)and Spatial Error Model(SEM),build spatial econometric model and further demonstrate whether the unbalanced regional economic growth and income dispatities are ? convergent and club convergent or not;(5)Taking prefecture-level administrative region as the basic unit, focusing on spatial analysis at the regional level and regional individuals as the focus, this paper focuses on analyzing the changing facts and mutual relations between the unbalanced economic growth and the regional disparity in income distribution in Northeast China. This paper also verifies and compares the relationship between the changes in Northeast China and the studies at the national scale.Through the analysis,we find that:(1)Whether on macro or micro scale, economic methods or spatial analysis based on regional individuals,we have observed the long-term and stable relationship between the unbalanced economic growth and the regional income disparity.(2)This kind of stable relationship will show different concrete forms in different time span and different spatial scales. On the macro level,it is a double inverted U-shaped cooperative change, while on the micro level,it is a double contraction of volatility. There is no essential difference between the two,but the specific form of the same problem in different scales and time span.If the spatial scale continues to be micro-scale and the time span continues to change,we can find more relevant characteristics.(3)Both macro and micro analyses show that the change of economic growth is earlier than that of income distribution, and at the same time, the change rate of economic growth is faster than that of income distribution.(4)Although regional economic growth and regional disparity of income distribution show similar synergistic characteristics in different spatial scales, there are great differences in influencing factors and intensity, and in different stages, the types and mechanisms of influencing factors are also very different. In this paper, the depth of research has been advanced, the research methods are more comprehensive, and the comparative analysis and verification of different scales have been carried out.It not only embodies the regionality and comprehensive characteristics of regional economics, but also embodies the core innovation of this paper.
