With the constant deepening of China's openness,the introducing of Foreign Direct Investment in Inner Mongolia has witnessed rapid development,Foreign Direct Investment plays an increasingly important role in the economic operation and development of Inner Mongolia. With Foreign Direct Investment, the promotion effect of Inner Mongolia's economy can largely achieve through changes in industrial structure, so it has important practical significance to study the role of Foreign Direct Investment in Inner Mongolia's economy from the perspective of industrial structure.In this paper, the theory of Industrial Economics, International Direct Investment and Econometrics are used, the method of the combination of empirical analysis and normative analysis, and the combination of qualitative and quantitative analysis are used.The paper studies firstly the status of Foreign Direct Investment in Inner Mongolia from the aspects of the scale of Foreign Direct Investment, regional distribution, and the distribution characteristics of Foreign Direct Investment in the industrial structure, and then studies the status of industrial structure in Inner Mongolia from the aspects of the three industries'gross domestic product, employment, and the comparison of industrial structure in Inner Mongolia and in China. The impact of Foreign Direct Investment on industrial structure in Inner Mongolia is the core section of the paper, by the method of combining qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis, the chapter studies firstly the positive and negative impact on industrial structure in Inner Mongolia by foreign direct investment, and then use the measurement tools analyze the contribution and investment deviation of foreign direct investment in Inner Mongolia's industry. The conclusion to the contribution analysis is that: Foreign Direct Investment make the smallest contribution to the added value of Inner Mongolia Primary Industry, make the largest contribution to the added value of Secondary industry, and make the medium contribution to the tertiary industry. The conclusion to the deviation analysis is that: the secondary industry got excessive foreign direct investment. In the terms of the inside of the three industries, there are serious imbalances in the distribution of foreign direct investment. At last, the policy recommendations are as follows: to optimize the distribution of Foreign Direct Investment in three industries in Inner Mongolia, to balance the distribution of Foreign Direct Investment in each region of Inner Mongolia, to improve the investment environment and focus on environmental protection.
