Research On The Relationship Between TNCs Fulfilling Social Responsibilities And Enterprise Performance

As a Non-State international actor, TNCs are playing an increasingly important role in the process of Globalization and their international influences are also rising. However, with the ever-changing of the international market environment, the traditional competitive advantages have also changed. The market demands the TNCs having a competitive advantage not just in terms of cost and quality, but also in the terms of enterprise reputation, natural environment and production safety, which forced the TNCs to fulfill their social responsibilities. Therefore, it is practically significant and also very necessary to explore the social responsibilities which the TNCs should fulfill and the impact on the enterprise performance of fulfilling the social responsibility.1. The main content.In view of micro-enterprise, this paper selects TNCs as the study object; with the analysis based on the Stakeholders Theory and Social Responsibility Theory, this paper identifies the scope of the TNCs'social responsibilities . And then the paper analyzes the relationship between TNCs fulfilling social responsibilities and enterprise performance with empirical research methods. Meanwhile, the paper analyzes the differences between TNCs and general enterprises in fulfilling the social responsibilities and proposes some related recommendations for the TNCs in fulfilling the social responsibilities.2. The main contribution.Firstly, the studied object. There are more and more scholars begin to study the social responsibility, but few of them study the social responsibility of TNCs and also haven't paid attention to their uniqueness. This paper chooses the TNCs as the study object, and the author thinks that it is more significant in both theory and practice.Secondly, the research views. As the author mentioned in the literature review, the previous study tends to research this topic from the theoretical view and analysis of norms. But this paper chooses the Stakeholders Theory and Social Responsibility Theory to study this problem, and this is an brand new view.Lastly, the research depth. This paper not only analyzes the relationship between TNCs fulfilling social responsibility and enterprise performance, but also points out the uniqueness of TNCs in fulfilling the social responsibilities and proposes some related recommendations for the TNCs in fulfilling the social responsibilities.
