With the continuous development of China economics, sedan become more and more popular in China, the automobile market in China is also becomIng the most competitive market in the world. Almost all of the international automobile corporations come to join the competition in China automobile market. In order to win the market quota, the automobile manufacturing corporations are all meeting the need of market via the strategy of accelerating new type products."Purchasing parts production readiness"is a very important word in automobile manufacturing industry. In general, it refers to a production readiness process that in new product project, automobile parts supplier develop project, prepare tools and equipments, test produce, get release, prepare series supply and so on processes according to the time schedule, quality and production ability requirement from OEM.FAW-VW is a Sino-Germany joint venture company of automobile manufacturing and sales corporation, founded in 1991, it is one of the earliest modern automobile corporation in China. In recent years, FAW-VW established a strategy of one million cars plan. In order to develop the products project management, the corporation optimized the project management work flow. In 2008, FAW-VW changed the department of old PR to be a new one with a brand new position location, and optimized the relevant work flow, all these represent that the production readiness project management come into a new phrase.Nowadays, FAW-VW still face to a lot of problems should be resolved in future production readiness working practice. They are: work flow problems, organization problems, human resource, IT systems and supplier capability. The methods are:1. In terms of supplier management:To optimize the nomination flow, insure the nominated supplier with appropriate production readiness capability(1)To rule the supplier to use effective project management actions and help to fulfill.(2)To build a scientific supplier comment system, help to find out what's the supplier's problem(3)To provide support to suppliers, help them to increase their capability. In terms of FAW-VW inner purchasing parts production readiness process management:(1)In the organization management aspect:a) To build a whole production readiness organization marching the new car type project managementb) To perfect the department of PR(2)In the method management aspect:Though Simultaneous Engineering, SQE work force, problem rising, and powerful IT system to strengthen the purchasing parts production readiness.In phrases management aspect:Describe in detail how to do in the schedule plan phrase. Tooling and equipment building phrase, optimizing and rising phrase and PR checking points which are go through the whole purchasing parts production readiness process.At last, based on above analysis, the direction of future FAW-VW purchasing parts production readiness management is figured out, fulfilling the short term, middle term and long term goals to wholly increase FAW-VW purchasing parts production readiness capability, through the ways of the supplier project information IT system updating, resource integrating, perfecting supplier comment and improvement of key suppliers and finally form a big batch of core suppliers which can meet the requirement of FAW-VW purchasing parts production readiness.well.
