The Option Of Amt Based On Production Strategy In Manufacturing Industry

Advanced manufacturing technology (AMT) has many new characteristics. It is not only the technology areas, but also areas of management. It is a manufacturing philosophy. Advanced manufacturing technology can greatly increases productivity, improves products quality. Compared with the traditional technique it has many advantages. But there are rarely successful case of advanced manufacturing technology performs in the traditional organizational structure mode. The study shows that in order to play the role of AMT expected, the option based on production strategy.is precondition.This paper studies the option of advanced manufacturing technology that based on the production strategy in manufacturing industry.The goal is provides the basis for the option of AMT, ascertaining a practical effective option methods, preparing for the application of advanced manufacturing technolog.First, it defines the concept of advanced manufacturing technology, production strategy; and then introduction and the analysis to the correl- ation theories.Second,the paper analysis the internal relations of the production strategy and advanced manufacturing technology. The AMT was divided into three arrangements: single technology, integrated technology and information technology, then analysing the influence of AMT to production strategy in three arrangements refered to above.Third, Studies the establishing process of AMT options based on production strategy and the option guidance, the process of option refer to all field of the organization, so it is very useful. The option guidance analysis the option superficialy, then give the advice to choice, it based on the low cost, high quality, flexibility and the time strategy make the options of AMT and evaluate the results. Finally, establishing the mathematical model based on the factors, it includes manufacturing factors and business factors and other choosing factors. The success of AMT option was divided into three dimensions: technology success manufacturing success and business success.Based on this three dimensions will give three mathematical model.Applying the model can give a exact number result,in this process it will use nominal group technology, the result can be accurate judgment to choose whether or not succeed.
