With the arrival of the knowledge economy era knowledge has become the main resource of the wealth, the chage makes enterprises facing great challenge. The proportion of intangible assets is increasing in enterprises, while those enterprises in which the intangible assets as the main factors——called knowge enterprise become one important trend of the development in knowledge economy era. In our country, for building innovation-oriented country, we made the strategic restructuring to change the Industrial development model from"made in China"to"China create". For the adaptability, innovative characteristics of Knowledge Enterprises whose member s are knowledge workers, the management of such kind of agents is special, complexity and challenging.Team has become the new mangagement method to help enterprise to innovation and to solve complex problems. While performance management is different from performance appraisal, it pays attention not only on the results of the management, but also to the process. It is a system to help improve the performance. This article takes a research on both team and performance management to find ways to improve team performance. In addition to promote innovation in the current context, to improve the efficiency of innovation research by team performance management has important theoretical significance and practical significance.In this article, the first chapter introduces the research background, the purpose, the significance, research contents, and research mentality.In chapter 2, we take a relevant literature review of knowledge enterprise, team performance and so on.Based on the second chapter, we designed the team performance management process according the performance management process in chapter 3, and take a research on the characteristics of team in knowledge enterprise based on the model of team performance .In chapter 4 we took a research on those factors influencing team performance, and compared the Belbin's team roles with Margerison-McCann Team profile roles. Also we studied some team performance measurement and appraisal tools such as TPD and TPI.In the last chapter, combining with related case and the application of the research, through first-hand experience and practice with"copybook team"in IL company, to verify some of the conclusions of this study.In knowledge enterprises, the organization form of team may be one effective way of management innovation, and the use of performance management approach in team manage to ensure team performance may also be an effective way. As this, it will help China to complete the transition from"made in China"to"China create".
