Study On The Development Of China's Urban Rainwater Harvesting-using Industry

With the development of urbanization in China, the pace of urban construction is accelerating, and which result in shortage of water resources and the city floods highlight contradictions. The need of city water, ecological water and industrial water use increased, not only accounting for agricultural water, but also increasing the burden on the water. And as a natural of natural resources, its dealing with low-cost and simple approach, rain gradually become a new use of renewable water resources. The urban rainwater harvesting and use industry can bring about significant benefits of economic and social and ecologic. Development of urban storm water industries will also facilitate the formation of the industrial chain, including in the collection of rainwater, produce of equipment, facilities construction, operation and management, water use in areas, which will bring a new economic growth points in our country.From the general theory of the industry forming, based on the life-cycle of theory industry, the theory of Rostow stages of economic growth and the relevant theory of industrial policies, this article will have a multi-angle analysis in the content, nature and nurture of the urban rainwater harvesting industry. Through a summary of the use of the practice of international urban rainwater harvesting, the paper will show that the measures of formation urban rainwater harvesting and use industry, and the development of the industry forecasts and prospects.
